Green Future is a business that is 100% dedicated to its mission to both combat global climate change through carbon offset and to benefit the U.S. domestic ecosystem and economy by coordinating reforestation, afforestation, and forest management projects for American landowners and farmers.

The story of Green Future began long before formal establishment. The founder, George C. Eberwine, was raised on a 750-acre family farm in Coshocton County, Ohio, where the family has been very proactive with active reforestation and afforestation efforts for the purpose of conservation, land improvement, and carbon offset/sequestration. Their first small project began in 1998, followed by larger projects in the late 2000s and a large project in 2017. The United States is the country with the second most tree restoration potential globally, with over 254.5 million acres of reforestation potential. In the fight to combat global climate change, we cannot afford to leave this potential untapped.

For several years, our founder has seriously considered taking the aforementioned private efforts to the public by building a business to allow other farmers to accomplish small-, medium-, and large-scale planting projects. The opportunity to take this leap came in 2021 when, in order to enable businesses and individuals to offset their carbon emissions, while also giving farmers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve the quality and value of their land, Green Future Forestry, LLC, was formally established and launched.
